A “bonafide member” is a term used to describe a member who actively participates in the cooperative society’s affairs, abides by its rules, and fulfils their financial obligations. Bonafide members are often given preference in various matters, such as the allocation of parking spaces or leadership roles within the society.

Bonafide means genuine. I don't think there is any classification called bonafide member at least in Maharashtra. There was a classification called active member. The requirement of an active member was that he should attend general meetings. No member, whether active or otherwise can be given any preference with regard to car parking or other matters. I do not know about other States, but not likely. Most States except Maharashtra and Gujarat, do not have even good co-operative housing  society laws.
