Withdraw RCR?

Wife sent divorce notice by her advocate. Husband replied denying all allegations and also filed RCR. It has been two years, and now court asked both parties to file counter. Now, husband is not interested to continue the relation because of such a long seperation and fear of false DV, 498a etc. He is not ready for mutual petition and wants to contest and win the divorce case as there are some allegations which are not good for his future. Then he plans to file for divorce from his side.

So, is it good to withdraw RCR now so as to avoid the chances of her coming back? Can petitioner withdraw the case without the permission of respondent or any restructions on such act? Is it ok to withdraw RCR and contest Divorce case only at this stage? please help.

There is no need of obtaining permission from the other side for withdrawing RCR, it is the choice of the party who filed it.
