Wrongful termination

I got call from indian company regarding job in foreign country. I selected for this company and got offer letter.I clearly asked the company whether it is long term or short term.They told that it is for long time and should do minimum 12 months and it extends upto 5 to 6 years. We have an agrrement for one year and also in the offer letter company or me should give notice before leaving company or by termination by the company.

 I clearly asked the company, if I work in India the job will permanent and safe.They told that don't worry about that we have projects in India also.Finally I went there worked for 6 months.After 6 months later they sent back to india and also not provide job in india in july 2012.I don't have job and I have family dependants.Can I issue legal notice to the company because I don't job.

What was the nature of the duty and what were the terms and conditions incorporated in the letter of appointment. Sometimes, it happens that the employer hires the employee subject to satisfactory probation. If there is unsatisfactory services during the period of probation, the employer has a right to terminate the services. So what is your case first/ Tell us eloberately.

Actually they have given for minimum 12 months service in the company and also it is permanent position. I got lot of appreciations from the client.There is no issues from the side.In the offer letter they have written,if I leave the company with 12 months I have to pay 10000 US Dollars. Before Joining I asked them cleary if it is more than one year only I will work otherwise it will be problem to my carrier I told. And also I asked if the project completes with the client within short time, what will be my position.They told don't worry abiut that we have lot of clients and that too you permanent to our company.So I decided to join in that company.

Can I go to court and apply for compensation regardng this issue.

Yes, you can ask for the relief of reinstatement with backwages.
