1. Sanjay Dutt has filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against his conviction by the TADA court in the Mumbai blasts case. He has also moved an application seeking bail.

2. The Jodhpur Sessions Court will decide Bollywood star Salman Khan's fate in the blackbuck poaching case on August 24. District and Sessions Judge Kamal Raj Singhvi heard the final arguments by the prosecution on Tuesday.

3. A TEACHER, whose alleged beating led to the death of a 17-year-old schoolboy here last week, was sent to 15 days of judicial custody by a court today. Indira Samar, a Sanskrit teacher, surrendered yesterday after a court in Udaipur rejected her anticipatory bail application. Samar had allegedly beaten Arpit Kavadia with a cane on July 26, which led to severe blood clotting in his chest. He died on August 2.

4. The Sessions Court at Coimbatore, trying the 1998 serial bomb blast cases in the city, on Tuesday granted bail to seven convicts against whom ""minor charges"" have been levelled.
