Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh said that the state government would examine whether the riots cases mentioned in the Justice Srikrishna Commission report that probed the 1992-93 Mumbai riots could be reopened. The commission's report blames among others Sena supremo Bal Thackeray for instigating attacks on Muslims. The report was rejected by the Sena-BJP combine for being ""one-sided,"" but it has again come to haunt the saffron parties following conclusion of the Mumbai serial blasts trial.[font=arial] The Supreme Court [font=arial]had recently indicated that it would not hesitate to order a reinvestigation and proper prosecution of the accused in the Mumbai riots, on the lines of it's action in Gujarat.[/font][/font][/font]

The daughter of Mohammad [/font]Ali Jinnah has asked the Bombay High Court to grant her claim to a sprawling home built by her father in India before the country's partition in 1947. Jinnah constructed a European-style seafront bungalow in the late 1930s here, where he lived with his wife and only daughter before moving to newly created Pakistan after Independence. [font=arial]On Tuesday, Jinnah's 88year-old daughter Dina Wadia, who lives in New York, approached the high court in a bid to gain ownership of the property, built on 2.5 acres of land estimated to be worth about $400 million.[/font][/font]
