1. Once again asserting that there would be no discrimination in dealing with the cases related to the 1993 Mumbai blasts, the Supreme Court on Friday refused to grant any interim relief to actor Sanjay Dutt, convicted under the Arms Act. The matter will now come up for hearing on August 20.
2. The Gwalior Bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court has asked the CBI to take over the probe into the Chetna Sharma murder case from the Criminal Investigation Department. The 29year-old Sub-Inspector was found dead in her official quarters in the Bhind Police Lines on November 30, 2006 with her service revolver beside her body.
