I have come across some Corporations which entered into agreement for 99 years lease with the land owners, and that too without registartions.

Dear  All,

Lease deed executed by different development authorities may varies from 90,99 even for term of 999 years. But one thing common that all numbers are divisible by 3.

it's depend upon nature of land, and right to sale, transfer, alienate the property. if it is free hold land then there will be no lease deed.

lease for 99 years or 999 years @ 1 rs payement per year. Govt. or the person who has right over property can cancancel/terminate the lease deed by notice( often it not happens as violation of terms and condition in lease deed).

Normally, land in Cities are registered in Records for purpose of Abadi. while, in villages it is registered as agriculture purpose. Developers bought agriculture land or banjar from state that is leased land. if state sold after development with lay out aprroved with Town planner are normally free hold land.
