Hello experts ,
I want to update my child birth certificate with my wife maiden last name as per her official docs such as passport, pan card etc . However , in my child current birth certificate, wife name last name is updated with my first name . Can the name be changed her official name as per the docs in my child birth certificate.

You may not be permitted to change the name of the mother in the birth certificate of the child for any reason.
She may have to submit a name change affidavit declaring both the names are one and the same, duly notarised and published in the government gazette publication.

Your wife has to make an affidavit for change of name / surname and get it published in 2 news papers and State gazzete before getting other documents amended

Why such a change? It is unlikely that such request would be entertained unless you get directions from the Court.
