Cevaet Filed-Posesion

Hi All,

We have a property dispute where we have corrected our land revenue reocrds in my names, as previously in his name. But the possesion is with us for the past 60yrs. Now after all this My grandma also made a settlement deed on my and she is no more. Now the problamatic uncle have sold our land to one more guy. we wnet against this and filed a Cevaet last month under our Lawyers guidance.

But again he also filed cevaet on me as a reply to that

1)Suggest me what is the use cevaet ?

2)and why he also filed it against me?

3) Is it possible for him to take a possesion of my land even though I filled cevaet first?

Regards,

Sundar

there is nothing like to worry ,ceveat is just an application made by any party to the suit before the concerned court.application of it, just give this much of advantage to the party(who filed it) that during courts proseedings when ever further action has taken by the court or other by other party in suit during proceedings a notice to be served to other party as regard to such action.it has nothing to do with the merits of the case and it is just a procedural thing,
