Hi
My sister (born and studied in Gujarat from Class Sr. Kg. to Class XII) is appear for her Class XII board exams. she also intends to pursue CLAT. As you all are aware that Domicile Certificate is required for GNLU, Gandhinagar.
However, since she is currently appearing in Class XII Board Exams - and has always studies in the same school of CBSE - she has never been issued "School Leaving Certificate. Inspite of all documents submitted, Mamlatdar Office is insisting for School Leaving Certificate which will only be issued by the school in May 2012.
My query is:
1. Is Mamlatdar Office justified in seeking Mandatory as School Leaving Certificate inspite of submission of Class Sr. Kg to Class XII - Marksheets, bona fide certificate from School, Talati Report, birth certificate (gujarat born), and all other particulars. etc. School has also certified that she has studied in school from Class Sr. Kg to Class XII (13 years) and that school leaving certificate will be issued only after may 2012.
Can you cite any case law / domicile rules, etc to support our argument before the Mamlatdar,
2. Can CLAT application form - we can submit domicile certificate at the time of admission - because then she will be having School Leaving Certificate and consequently Domicile Certificate.
Request you to repsond at the earliest.
