Dear Sir,
Namaste. May I please ask yet another question regarding filing of counter in a private DVC case. During Initial part of DVC case, filing a "counter on behalf of someone" is same as "Discharge petition" or both are different. Thank you.

Discharge petition is a different subject to that of the counter to be filed by the respondents in the DV case

Both are different connotations governed by different laws, discuss with your professor / coach / tutor with relevant facts of the case.
However, there is no provision for filing a "counter" case in a complaint being tried / adjudicated under the provisions of Protection of Women from Domestic Violance Act, 2005.
Be clear and specific in your facts vis-a-vis query.

Filing a counter in court is a legal response to a complaint or petition filed by the opposing party. The purpose of filing a counter is to: 1. _Deny allegations_: Contest the claims made by the other party. 2. _Present your case_: Share your side of the story and present your own claims. 3. _Settle disputes_: Resolve disputes and clarify any misconceptions. 4. _Protect interests_: Safeguard your rights and interests. 5. _Seek relief_: Request the court to grant you relief or judgment. Common scenarios where a counter is filed: 1. _Lawsuits_: In response to a complaint or petition. 2. _Divorce cases_: To respond to divorce petitions and assert your rights. 3. _Contract disputes_: To dispute breach of contract claims. 4. _Property disputes_: To resolve property-related disputes. 5. _Criminal cases_: To respond to criminal charges. Filing a counter in court provides an opportunity to present your perspective and engage in the legal process to achieve a fair outcome. Consult with an attorney to determine if filing a counter is appropriate for your specific situation.
