Fraud by lawyer

Dear Learned Lawyers,

Request your advice.

I was looking to buy a property and got introduced to a lawyer who was mediating for a property sale. However, I was duped and cheated by this lawyer who collected amount from me using a fake agreement. Shockingly, I came to know this from his close friends that the lawyer himself prepared the agreement and signed as landowner. Seems he has been involved in such fraudulent activities in the past and cheated few this way.

If you have evidence to prove your allegations you may lodge a criminal complaint against him with the local police

Sirs....Please advice,...How can I get this document sent for forensic analysis to confirm that signature is fraud.

First you file the complaint with the police, the police, if necessary can send the documents to the FSL to obtain the opinion of handwriting experts in this regard

I agree with the advise of learned senior expert Mr. T Kalaiselvan.

To add to the above I would suggest if the police do not refer the document for FSL examination, you may approach Trial Court subsequently i.e., when the case comes up for trial.

Many thanks Gentlemen for your valuable guidance. I hope I can submit an attested xerox copy of the original agreement along with the compliant because I am very apprehensive about the safety of the document as it is the only prime evidence I have. This person being a lawyer has connections with the very same police with whome I have to lodge a compliant. Kindly advice.

You can take considered decision based on the situation prevailing at your end.
