Joint property sale

my grand mother and my relative's grand mother bought a property over 50 yrs back in our village.

who owns which portion is not specified.Now my relavtive wants to sell his shcare to another person without my consent to another person.

What is now my legal position on this ?

First of all, you and your relative should register a parition deed by dividing the property by metes and bounds.  Later on, you relative is free to sell his portion without your consent.  Before that he is not entitled to do it.  If he proposes to sell the entire the property without your consent, you may issue a legal notice stating all the facts.

Hi...My father in law and 2 of his brothers own a joint property for which the partition is still not done. Now my fater in law wants to come out of the property by relinquishing his share but the other 2 brothers are not willing to give my fathe in law his share nor they are agreeing to sell the property. In this case how do we get our share. Please advice.
