Landlord and Tenant Dispute

Dear Sir / Mam,

Kindly suggest what shall I do in the following scenario:

My sister-in-law's family  has a piece of land and is located in a very good location. Some 15 year before, a graduate person came and requested to the father-in-law of my sister to give the land on rent to start a business of selling construction materials. His business flourished and the person became a rich man with no moral values. Now my sister's family wants to start their own building on that land. But the person is not listening to them. There was only a verbal agreement between the landlord and the tenant. The tenent has stopped paying rent for the land. Even he is using all means of threat to possess the land. Kindly advice what shall we do to take back the land possession from him. we will be grateful for a reply. We will be happier if any lawyer from Cuttack City, Orissa come forward to solve the case.

Warm Regards,

Priyaranjan
