measure to prevent infringement of copyright

Hi.

Piracy of copyrighted products is a problem as old as the copyright itself. Only in recent years it has received prominence, especially in the academic and policy circles. In India, no official estimate is available to indicate the extent of piracy and associated economic loss. But perceptions are that the piracy is a big problem.

suggest measures to effectively tackle this malady.

Definitely piracy is a big problem and law to restrict this increasing meance are also available but the lack of will power to enforce such laws and illeteracy in this field are major reasons in this way. If we educated person start this following of relevant rules then also its aim can be acheived.

Under Copyright Act, 1957 enforcement agency cannot take action against the violator unless the owner gives complaint of the piracy. Don't you think Mr. Makkad that the law should grant police suo moto power to take action?
