My father's name is spelled "Samar" in all his documents. And all my documents with his name as "Somor". Will there be any problem in applying for passport now?

That is already a big problem, it surprises me all the time that people discover at very latter stage upon some document issuance that their is correction in the perosnal details. Ignorants has to suffer

I have many documents beginning with school certifcate, various degree certificates, passport, PAN and finally Aadhar. In no two documents my name is the same. It was not because of any mistake on my part. The authorities (I mean the clerks in the front-room) note down my name differently. However I had no problem so far. But I cannot say that there will be no problem in future. With Big Brother always watching you and the requirement of KYC again and again there can be problems.
Wherever you have to produce your documents or make an application, you may not have to produce the documents of your father also or give a certificate that so-and-so is your father. Hence there may not be any problem. But if you rake the topic now with any authority that can lead to problem.
