Pendency in supreme court.

According to the latest data available, the pendency in Supreme Court has risen to an all time high 58,029 cases. What does the legal community here feel about this? What can be done to improve the efficiency of the judiciary?

Outof58029 cases98percent cases are kanji pinji cases so it is better to bifurcate and fine heavy amount so this type of kanji pinji litigations will be avoided.

It is found that in civil litigation some parties took the benefit of pendancy of the case though they have no merit in case, so CPC should be amended accordingly and heavy fine should be imposed to the party who lost the case on merit also court should not be much liberal while granting adjournment and should be stick to time limits given in CPC
