POA for buying land & plot in Bangalore

Hi,

I have booked a plot and also an apartment in bangalore. Due to the construction work the Plot was not registered. I am currently in US from past 3 years and we want to register next mth.

I gave general Power of Attorney last year in bangalore to my father-in-law. What we did is we took a stamp paper of 100 or 200 rs and just added couple of points regarding sale and purchasingplot. and we have made it General Power of Attorney. and this is being signed my notary and 2 witnesses. This is last year in June. Its more than a yr now.

So my question is : Is this sufficent to register our land and  our apartment. Or do we have to get a new POA and get it signed in Indian Embassy in US.

Please if someone could answer my question. Its would be so helpful.

Dear Mr.Selence,

Yes this General Power of Attorney is sufficent to register your land, no need to give fresh GPA to register the land in your favour.
