Refund of caution money

Hello,

At the time of admission our college took 50,000 Rs as caution money and told us that it was refundable amount. It was tough 5.5 years of M.B.B.S, Our batch finally graduated in june 2022 But even after our graduation and all the clearance procedure they are forcing us to publish review article to claim caution money. In February 2022 they asked us to submit Application for refund of caution money with ORIGINAL RECEIPT mentioning Caution money. Is there anything we can do now ?

If your college is within the ambit of the RTI Act, ask a friend or relative from outside or to the University a piece of simple information through one query.

Information solicited:

1. Please provide a copy of laid down orders/norms/conditions of refunding caution deposits collected from students during admission.

2. Then equipped with the concrete proof issue a simple request in one or two sentences to the principal requesting for refund of the caution deposit.

3.. In case of response contact a local advocate and issue him a notice.

4. File this as a grievance to the Indian Medical Council, MHRD, University that the caution deposit is not being refunded.

With one of the above or all may get your caution deposit back with your TC, if not you may have to approach to Consumer Forum online complaint for recovery of caution deposit, interest, and costs from the college.

Some facts are confused. What is the relevance of publishing "review article"?

Any how you may submit the application requesting for refund; if the original receipt is lost, you may furnish a duly executed affidavit.
