Rti

Hi

My brother got an RTI in his school asking for his salary from Girl's side. Now school has asked his permission whether or not to disclose his salary.  Will it be the impact if my brother says no to disclose his salary?

Thanks

Shalini

i dont think school needs your bro permission to reply this rti..

school is bound to reply with the true facts to the applicant of rti.

if school in is good terms with your bro,, let him check whether school can deny this info under sec-8(J) of rti act 2005 , as it is personal info.

otherwise also judge also order ur bro file on affidavit about his income with relevant documents, salary slep, babk stmt, etc

the concernt officials should seek the consent of your brother.

however, even if your brother objects, the PIO can overlook the objection and reveal the information under "larger public interest"

Preffered path is to allow the department to give information called for .Its true that the deptt may partwith the information inspite of your brothers objections / refusal.

RTI is for public interest and if the related with public they have to pass. School may deny as personal case.
