settlement document typing mistake

Hello all,

My mother had a property and she gave a settlement of that property to me. The property as such is split into 5 parts (all of which are in the same place). In the settlement document there is one part of land of 840 sq. ft that is wrongly typed 480 sq ft and the same has been registered also.  All the other parts of the document are correct.

Is there any way to change this? If so, kindly suggest.

Thanks,

Charan

Your mother can execute a rectification deed and get it registered in the same office. Get your lawyer to draft a deed for you and get it registered asap.

you need to move an amendment application with the registrar, which once granted you can amend on the stamp paper which shall be signed verfiied by your mother and then get the same registered.
