a rule or order upon condition that is to become absolute unless cause is shown to the contrary. Example: In a divorce case, a rule nisi may be issued to grant temporary custody of children to one parent until a final custody hearing can be held. The other parent has a specified time to show the court why the rule should be set aside or modified. To be more precise: taking effect at a later specified time unless previously modified or avoided by cause shown, further proceedings, or a condition fulfilled.

This is a Special Leave Petition for Pension revision not a divorce case

The explanation about Nisi was given with an example and the answer was not pertaining to divorce case. Better read the answer properly and then pass your comments.
