Statement made to police by depressed pateint

Whether any patient under depression or psychiatrist treatment records his statement for an incident that transpired with him?,  and can the court consider such statement FIR, chargesheet as proper? or does any law point arise on such FIR, Statements or chargesheet by the opposite party?

The statement or complaint of mentally ill or challenged persons are not considered to be valid

The court may not entertain them especially if the opponent vehemently opposes this owing to its genuineness in question.
