My neighbours who live below us threatened us yesterday saying they'll bring 'gunde' to our house if we don't remove our duct fixing from the shaft .
They said " Now you see what we'll do and you can't even stop us "
What steps should I take?

If you're facing threatening behavior from a neighbor, consider the following steps: 1. _Stay calm_: Keep a record of incidents, including dates, times, and details of what happened. 2. _Talk to your neighbor_: Try to resolve the issue amicably by talking to your neighbor and explaining how their behavior is affecting you. 3. _Seek mediation_: If talking directly doesn't work, consider mediation through a local community mediation center. 4. _Contact authorities_: If the threats are severe or persistent, contact local law enforcement or file a complaint. 5. _Document evidence_: Keep evidence, such as photos, videos, or witness statements, to support your case. 6. _Seek support_: Reach out to friends, family, or a support group for emotional support. 7. _Consider legal action_: If the threats are causing significant distress or fear, consult a lawyer about seeking a restraining order or other legal remedies. Remember to prioritize your safety and well-being. Let your neighbour may take any action.
Threat cannot be considered as a crime / cognizable offence.

You can either issue a legal notice instructing them to refrain from indulging in illegal activities of threatening you or make a complaint with the police about it
