We paid a token amount in good faith after negotiating a property, while the lease agreement was being drawn up. Landlord asked us to draw up the lease agreement, we did, and submitted to him. particulat clauses were not accepted by him and therefore the deal fell through.
He now refuses to give the token amount back, saying we backed out of the deal.
What is the best way to get the money back? Any recommendations on how to proceed?
