I have a 420 case from sep 2017, filed by my DIL ,of forgery. In 2016 Jan ,she had filed under DP act 1961 u/s 3,4 and IPC 1860 (U/S 498a , 506) and DV case u/s 12 (1) R/w 17,18,19,20, 21 & 22 . I asked the builder to include her name as owner in the sale agreement in 2013 out of love and affection immediately after the marraige with my son. when she filed the cases in Jan 2016, we were frustrated, and shocked, and hence, we asked the builder in June 2016,to remove her name from the apartment ownership, which is still under construction ( as on today apr 2018). Builder asked for an afidavit from her to remove her name. So I approached a lawyer, who got the notarised affidavit done, by getting her sign ( ? forged) for a huge fees, and submitted the document to the builder and got her name removed. Now she has filed the case on me that I have forged her sign and I should be punished. What is the legal remedy available for me? Can I defend myself, in the Police station , that signature has been done by herself and ask the police to let her prove the forgery? It is filed 6 months back, and chargesheet not filed till today. Police is taking huge bribes- 3 lakhs from the DIL side to see that I am jailed and tortured inside the jail, to extract confession, and we had to pay 2.5 lakhs, just to avoid thier torture, grilling which goes on for whole day.
