Broadband isp not closing connection

Respected Sir/Madam,

I have a strange issue. I have Airtel broadband Internet connection and I want to close it. However the entire process is delayed and ignored by Airtel.

When I call 121 the representative says he does not have authority to take the request to close. He says authority is with seniors.

When I request to connect with seniors, he says he will connect. Then call goes on hold for 15 long minutes and then he says, seniors are not available.

Once by chance in this process I got connected to the senior, and he said due to technical issues request can not be taken.

Airtel is simply wasting my time and delaying the process of taking request to close the connection.

What are my legal options if they do not close the connection and waste my time like this?

Does this issue faced by me in principle fit into any of the defines laws?

You can issue a legal notice to the airtel company demanding the closure of their connection immediately for the reasons you rely upon and state that failing to provide the demanded relief will develop into a consumer complaint.

After that you can approach consumer redressal commission for relief and remedy.
