Builder asking more money for maintenance while possession

Hi,

I have purchased a flat in one of the societies in Bhayandar in May 2018. At the time of registration of property, the maintenance charges mentioned were Rs.3 / Sq. Ft for 6 month which is to be paid for  period of six months.  Now builder is ready to give possession of flats but has revised the maintenance charges to Rs.6 / Sq. Ft. which is double the charges mentioned in registration document.

What should we do ?

Please advice.

It all depends on the actual costs, and the builder is under obligation to provide proper accounts.  As far as maintenance is concerned, whether it is legal or illegal amounts should be paid under protest and subject to final verification by the society on the settlement of accounts.  These efforts should be collective and there should be support from each owner as a group.
