The fees for filing a counter petition (civil) in the Chennai High Court are as follows: - For counter petitions filed in: - Family Court: ₹200-₹500 (depending on the type of case) - High Court: ₹1,000-₹2,000 (depending on the type of case) - Additional fees for: - Each additional respondent: ₹50-₹100 - Interim applications: ₹100-₹500 - Affidavits: ₹50-₹100 - Court fees for counter petitions in Chennai High Court: - Up to ₹1 lakh: 2% of the subject matter value - ₹1 lakh to ₹5 lakhs: ₹200 plus 1% of the subject matter value above ₹1 lakh - Above ₹5 lakhs: ₹500 plus 0.5% of the subject matter value above ₹5 lakhs Please note that these fees are subject to change, and you should verify with the Chennai High Court or consult with a lawyer for the most up-to-date information. There's no court fees payable for filing counter to a pending petition before high court, however if your question is about counter or cross appeal then the cross appellant may have to pay half the court fee to that of the actual fees paid by the main appellant.
