Didn't received bonus in my full and final settlement

I worked for a company for 1.5 years and resigned. I served notice period of 20 days that management asked me for.

Now the case is that i was getting 35000 Gross salary before 1800 pf deduction. I resigned from company after 7 months of last bonus received.

As per my knowledge, bonus is a part of full and final settlement. Company paid me my last salary. But they are refusing to pay bonus which is around 20000 in total.

I mailed on company's email I'd regarding the same. But they are refusing to pay the bonus amount.

Please advice experts what should I do.

Note i received salary after 10 days of last day of my notice period.

What is the reason that the company is stating for settling the bonus amount.

Firstly you confirm whether you are eligible for the said bonus and after ascertaining the company rules in this regard,  if you are eligible but company is refusing to pay then you can send a legal notice demanding the same,  failing which you can file a money recovery suit against the company by spending at least four times of the due amount.

Think before indulging in a legal action.

Sir, can you tell me what are the eligibility criteria?

These are internal rules of the company / employer, which you will have to persue and discuss with a local prudent lawyer.

However, bonus is (generally) decided/paid annually.

If your employer has not paid your bonus, you can take the following steps:

1. *Check your contract*: Review your employment contract or bonus agreement to understand the terms and conditions of bonus payment.

2. *Communicate with your employer*: Reach out to your HR department or supervisor to inquire about the status of your bonus payment.

3. *Send a formal letter*: Write a formal letter to your employer requesting the bonus payment, citing the relevant contract clauses.

4. *Escalate the matter*: If no response, consider escalating the matter to a higher authority, such as the CEO or Managing Director.

5. *Seek legal advice*: Consult with an employment lawyer or legal expert to explore options for seeking legal recourse.

6. *File a complaint*: Depending on your location, you may be able to file a complaint with the labor department or a similar authority.

7. *Consider mediation*: Mediation services can help resolve the dispute without going to court.

Remember to keep a record of all correspondence and communications related to your bonus payment.
