Evict contractor from training institute

I had employed a contractor for providing food and administration for my training institue hostel. Their contract has expired a few months ago and was never renewed. Under a oral agreement they continued providing services.  I am not satisfied with their service and want to invite someone new  to provide the same services to the students.

I have given them 2 months notice to stop their services. The current contractor does not want to leave , they want to stay longer and are threatening me with legal action. Without any current agreement between us and the current contractor, what rights does he have to continue.

Note the institute and the building is owned by my family, contractor is there only for the services.

Issue notice and initiate eviction proceedings.

One can form view only on seeing the contract and details of the services provided.
