Gift deed in blood relation

Hi Sir/Madam,

My grandfater executed a gift deed in favour of my Father in the year 2000 on stamp paper its not register nor the stamp duty has been paid so i have 2 question. socity transfer the name on the back of share cirtificate base on that gift deed on my father name

 

1. Whether this deed is valid

2. Do we required to pay any amount now

Unregistered Gift Deed is not valid.

Therefore, if your father was the only legal heir of your grand father, then on the basis of that legal heir certificate, the Society can endorse the share certificate in favour of your father.

If there is any fee (which will be very nominal) that is being charged by the Society for effecting such transfer, the same needs to be paid.
