Gpf office mumbai denying to give interest

I worked as a talathi in Tahsil Alibag for 4 years and resigned in year 2009. I had applied for pf withdrawal and approached Talsil dept.but they were very non cooperative. Now I again applied for PF the new clerk in Tahsil Alibag was good and helpful. But AG Mumbai is denying the interest on My pf till current year. They are saying they will only pay till 2009. Which I think is not correct even the EPF withdrawl gives you interest till final settlement then why not GPF.

As per my knowledge I should receive interest till current year on the
principle amount because pf withdrawal is the duty of Accounts
officer. Requirement of submitting a written application by the
resigned govt. officer has been dispensed with vide Ministery of
personnel, pg and pensions,dept. of pension and pensioners notifiation
no.20(12)/94-P &PW(E) dated 15.11.1996 and notified under so. no. 3228
dated 23.11.1996. Rule 34 of GPF states that when amount standing at
the credit of the subscriber in the GPF becomes payable , it shall be
the duty of Account officer to make payment. In case of delay the
additional interest should be payed to the subscriber. So I request
for the interest to be applied till the payment of final settlement of
GPF. They are paying only 43000. Please see the attached pay slip
