Is an irrevocable power of attorney valid after the death of agent?

Any power of Attorney deed after the death of owner is invalid.

You mean the person to whom such POA is given?

 

No. The POS becomes invalid after death of POS holder.

If the PoA is without consideration it shall expire with death of granter.
