Maintenance amount

What is the maintenance amount that should be considered if there is a situation where man earn 80k and wife 50 k. Son 2 year old.

Where the wife is earning 50k, she is not entitled for any maintainance, however, the court will award maintainance for the child.

Thanks for the update. can you kindly give a brief idea of the amount that might be prudent. it is a mutual divorce we are considering and i woudl like to know the amount that i might have to pay

no fix formula, but chances in your case it will not be much, anywhere between 5-10k..

2. As you gave an indicator for the maintainacne per month, is there any indicator how it is stepped up each year or at regular intervals going by recent judgement or mutual divorce cases. for example is it stepped by 10 to 15% each year or every alternate year or how does it happen

For male child till he attains majority. Female child, till she gets married.

in MCD everything is decided mutually, go for an increase of 10% every two years.
