Passport appplication

Hi i have registered an FIR against one person under secrtion 326,354,307 last year in february 2017.In order to save himself the other party falsely charged an fir against me under 3(2) of SC/ST ACT.Its being more than one year now we both parties have mutually decided to do compromise and both FIR have been quashed by the Honourable Delhi High Court on 25/07/2017.My question is that i want to go abroad for my studies and i need to apply for my passport. So now  i have to tick yes in that criminial part option which is displayed on passport seva screen or i have to tick no as i beileve that the said case now have been quashed. Please guide me on this as i dont want to get into any trouble with passport office.

Thanks

sahil

In my opinion, the quashing of an FIR would amount to you having no criminal record. However, it'd prove most prudent for you to submit along with your passport application a copy of the HC's FIR quashing order (so as to be on the safer side.)
