Dear All,
Is is required to obtain permission from patent office to file design patent in US.
The Application is for a Design patent.
patent is filing in US prior to India.
Applicant resided in India during the Invention(creation of design)
Kindly clarify.

Definitely, permission is required to file Patent in Abroad.

If you are at present residing outside India,even if the invention was conceived while you were in India you need not take permission to file now in USA.
