I have purchased a flat at Kolkata in October,2016. Now builder asking for 3.75 percent service tax on total value of this flat.My questions are 1) Is service tax on under construction building applicable in Kolkata. 2) if service tax need to pay then how can I calculate. 3) if service tax need to pay what is the time limit to pay the same to builder. Experts, please comment/valuable suggestion will be appreciated.

3) No time limit fixed for payment of it.

Service tax for under construction flats is 3.75% of 25 % o total purchase price of the under construction property on the land value.Time limit for payment of service tax is till the builder hands over you the occupancy certificate and completion certificate of the flat. At the time of sale of the flat.
