Regarding settlement deed/ Gift deed/ Conditional Gift deed
My family consists of my Father, Mother , Me(33yrs old) and my brother(26yrs old).
The property in question is an ancestoral property of my great grandfather and another property aquired by
my grand father.Being the only legal heir of my grandfather , my father is in full control of the above
mentioned property.
Now my father wants to settle the property between me and my brother.BUT wants it to be conditional. He wants
to stay in the above mentioned property till his time as a precaution.
Now can he execute a conditional settlement deed or a conditional gift deed in my favor for a portion of the above
mentioned property.
Which is the best possible option for this situation. We are not in favor of a WILL.
Because i was given in adoption at the age of 9. So if my parents dont execute a settlement/gift deed then i wont
get anything.
Please suggest some options by which i can have a share in the property and my fathers conditions are also met.
