Residing in own home after dissolution of 498a

Hi ! My freind's wife had charged 498A on him and his entire family. Police had asked him not to stay in same house as she may charge more cases. Hence during the entire period he lived on a rented house while his wife lived in their house. Now the case is dissolved as she can not prove the charges. House is in name of both husband and wife. Please guide, WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE TO BE FOLLOWED SO THAT HE CAN RESIDE IN HIS HOUSE ?

He should move back and stay in his house, at the first place he shouldn't have moved out on wrong advice of someone. He is part owner of the house and no one can remove him or prevent him to stay there, similarly his wife owns half of the house cannot be asked to leave the house.
