RTI Application

Hello Experts,
I posted a letter to RTI of police dept. for getting copy of base complaint made by complaint, which is under inspection. RTI send me reply, because of under investigation they cannot provide it. If I'll not receive complaint then how can I defend myself.

1. Letter is insufficient. File Proper RTI application affixed with court fee stamp of 10/-, addressed to the "Public Information Officer" (PIO) of the Police Dept.

2. IF above is done properly and since Police reply is not favourable, you may prefer to file RTI Appeal against reply of PIO, with the "RTI Appellate Authority"

Hello,

Police has rightly refuse your application under Right to Information Act. Police cannot give document in investigation.
