rules of pheras

is it possible to do remarriage(after divorce) thru seven pheras (hindu act)or it has to be done in court only.i heard according to hindu law a girl can marry only once thru phera and second marriage(after divorce) has to be done in court only .else marriage may be considered void if challenged because girl can do 7 pheras only once in her life as per shastras and what does law say about it.

There is no such legal restriction about this. After valid divorce second marriage can be solomnized as per hindu rites and rituals i.e 7 pheras or court marriage i.e. marriage befor the marriage registrar both ways are equally valid, it is the choice of the parties.
