Rwa dispute over common passage

Respected members,

Recently my neighbouring society had a Covid-19 positive case so, in order to restrict the transfer, our society administrators decided to close the gate which had a common passage to both the societies. This lead to a fight between both the RWAs even though there are main gates specific to both societies which can be used for going in and out.

Is there any way where one residential society can peacefully have the complete control of a gate which is a common passage between 2 societies in order to protect its residents?

What is the legal status of the RWA?

There should be mutual understanding and appreciation of the roles in such a severe situation.  Let us not fight on petty issues by speaking law in extra ordinary situations and let us follow a discipline that is in the larger public interest.  If you knock the laws, it is always the loss much delayed.
