Student laon

Hi Sir/madam,

I am from Hyderabad.

In 2004, when I was studying B.Pharmacy my father took student loan on my name from Andhra bank, even I am getting 50% of scholar ship on my college fee. In 2007 i was completed my B.pharmacy and joined in JOB. I use to give my full salary in home and asked my father to pay my student loan. They used to give only bus charges to me. I frustrated with my parents and came out from home and married my friend in 2009.

Recently I got a call from bank to pay my student loan, I went there and talked with the bank manager that I use to give my complete salary in home to pay my student loan, I don’t even know that they are not paying loan. Now I have 3 months old baby, am not in the situation to do job. Now am a dependent. But Bank manager is saying “student is the responsible to pay the loan.”

Is there any chance to file a cheating case on my father? He not only cheated me he has a terrible history of cheating on all his friends. There are some cases going on him.

Please help me out..

Even though you have taken a "student loan," the bank is taking your father as a "guarantor" to the said loan. No bank is giving an education loan only to the candidate, but they have to take his/her father as a "surety /guarantor." So go and verify first.

Thanks For the info Sir, But i have already went to the bank and talked with the manger. He is saying -- my father is not willing to pay a single paisa. So as am a major when i was taking student loan i am the responsible for the repayment. And they are trying to take my case to lok adalat if i don't pay.
