Terms of settlement before lok adalat

Can terms of settlement agreed before Lok Adalat contain relinquishment of all rights in the parental property where the ongoing case between parties is only related to partition of one of the properties of all existing?

Hello,

It depends on the nature of the terms and conditions of settlement before Lok adalat. If in the original suit all properties included and you agreed to relinquish your rights then it will be for those properties included in the original suit.

The legal proceedings have been centered around a single property for now but the parties want to settle the issue of right to succession of all properties with a final settlement before Lok Adalat, However, the opponent lawyer is claiming that there is a limitation in the procedure so only the property under litigation can be settled in a single go and if at all the other properties not under litigation are to be settled he is saying we need to go for seperate settlement before Lok Adalat.
