Validity of FIR registration after Investigation?

What is the validity of registration of FIR which was registered after: arresting the accused, recovery of incriminating articles and interrogating the accused in the Police station and registering the FIR the next day? Can such FIR registered after extensive investigation stand as valid FIR?

Dear Mr.N.K.Assumi,

Delay in filing of F.I.R. cannot absolve an accused from the findings of the investigation?  During the course of trial however it would be open for the accused to take benefit of delay.

Best Regards
