What Is The Compensation Process of Yamuna Expressway

Dear Sir’s,

I am new to this forum and joined specifically to get some much needed help from anyone who has been through the process of Yamuna Expressway Authority’s land acquisition procedure.

I have been to authority office in alpha 2 (greater noida), regarding compensation claim of our agricultural land (in village Kherli Bhav). We didn't receive the land acquisition notice and only came to know about it 15 days back. I enquired about the compensation procedure at the authority office in alpha-2 but no government officer is willing to help. I've been running from pillar to post just to find about how to even begin the procedure and what application/form and documents required. The officers at authority rudely denied me any information. The whole department is turning deaf ears. All of them are mutely demanding bribe for every word of information.  I have been told by one of the villager that I cannot directly get hold of application forms just by coming to office and I have to seek help from some middleman and he will then bribe the officers in charge to let me know about proceedings. The middleman is asking 2% of the total amount which is about Rs.80, 000/- approx. and no bargaining.

We have already lost our land to YEA (Yamuna expressway authority) which is 2.5 km away from the proposed expressway. The government has started to sell it to private builders at higher rates (4,000/sq.ft. approx.)  for various commercial and residential projects along it and only offering villagers compensation amount as Rs.880/sq.mtr.  The builders will sell it at a much higher and desired rate. Therefore we don’t want to give away any amount of our compensation money in bribing the Yamuna authority officers.

I have searched the complete website of Yamuna Expressway Authority and it doesn’t have any information about claiming compensation.

Kindly advice me what is the direct and honest way to claim the compensation and where I can get the application form and what documents are necessary to attach along with.

So far from here and there I have managed to figure out that following documents will be needed for compensation file.

1.)    6-7 photos of me and my brother.

2.)    Mutation Certificate  ( which I have already obtained from “Sadar Tehsil” signed & stamped)

3.)    Copy of passbook containing names of joint a/c holders duly signed and stamped by Bank Manager.

4.)    Copy of death certificate of my Father (Please tell why it is required? Because in Mutation me and my brother’s name is already mentioned)

5.)    Someone at authority told me in Hindi that “warisan certificate” is necessary. Please tell what is it? Succession Certificate or Legal Heir Certificate? And why it is even needed in our case when our names are already present in the mutation (khatoni / fard). Also we have a document [FORM -1, Nomination for Death-Cum-Retirement Gratuity] stating my mother as “Original Nominee” and me and my brother as “Alternate Nominees”. Is not this nomination document sufficed enough for proving me and my brother as legal heir? Please advice.

Thanks all for your time and consideration.

Why don't you do RTI application to the PIO(https://yamunaexpresswayauthority.com/content/rti-officerscontacts) of Yamuna Expressway Authority office to get copy of land acquisition notice and about the compensation procedure?

Your village is showing as notified village at the website of Yamuna Expressway Authority. There are details of so many officers of Yamuna Expressway Authority at https://yamunaexpresswayauthority.com/content/management-yeida You may also try contacting them over phone first, normally they should provide you some guidance in the matter.
