Sir,my mother received a property from her sister which was registered as settlement deed.My mother registered it in my name also settlement 3 years back. Now my brother and sister are trying to file case for their share. The question is
1,Can they file case against this settlement deed even after the time 3years have passed?
2,Will they get a stay to block the property from sale,if so how many years can they stay or continue the case
3,my mother stays with me now

Your mother got the property from his sister as a gift settlement deed. that will be treated as self-acquired property. so your mother has right to do as she wishes. so they cannot get benefit though they file case.

Sir it's been more than 3years now since my mother settled that property to me.Still they (brother and sister)can file a case or there is a time limit?
P. Venu (Expert) 05 December 2017
Your brother and sister have no cause of action to approach a court of law. As already stated, the property is self acquired and your mother has the absolute discretion to dispose in any meaner during her lifetime.

If the settlement deed is valid/registered the nature of property acquired thru such deed is self acquired.
The owner can dispose self acquired property by such deed.

Vague query with incomplete information.
What are the terms and conditions of so called "Settlement Deed" between your mother and her sister?
Similarly the terms and conditions of the "Settlement Deed" between you and your mother are relevant to specify the title of the property, therefore it is imperative to peruse the "Settlement Deeds" to form an opinion and advise about challenges and threats against the "Deeds".
Dr J C Vashista (Expert) 09 December 2017
It would be better to consult a local prudent lawyer with the "Settlement Deeds" referred by you.
