I want to see how is the occupational certificate and possession letter for purchasing a flat resale. Is tri party agreement also required as a documentation.

If you are in Maharashtra Read it else forget it.

Occupation certificate format is in Development Control regulation of each town which is framed under the provision of Maharashtra Regional Town Planing Act 1966.

Please note Occupational certificate is not whole thing , after every occupational certificate there is floor plan (if part occupation certificate is given ) or whole building plan (if complete occupational certificate is given)

Please note various local bodies have started inserting stamp on Occupational certificate this OC is within provision of Town Planing Law , we are not certifying title of flat or building or land , So when you get OC with building plan one thing you can be sure is that you know building is constructed with permission. (But title you need to check)

Many Municipal Corporation in Maharashtra have started uploading Occupational certificate and Plan on website for prospective buyer .

Please note ---- Never purchase resale flat without Occupation certificate
