my opposite party in a case in which I am the respondent is taking repeated adjournments to drag on the case. Is there any way I can speed up the proceedings?

Many thanks to all the experts. Will not going to the High Court cause further delay? There have already been 13 successive adjournments. Is there any limit aid down by law?

High court would at least frame a time limit for competition of trial.
